Yatra22 app will provide one-click medical assistance to pilgrims


The Principal Secretary of the Department of Health Medical Education (H&ME), Manoj Kumar Dwivedi, today launched the “yatra22” mobile application and webpage www.yatra22.com to track health facilities for pilgrims undertaking Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2022 and to facilitate identification and tracking of health facilities in case of emergency.
The application is available on the Google Play Store and IOS platform and can also be accessed through a web browser.
Speaking at the launch of the mobile app, Dwivedi said for smooth facilitation of the holy devotees, 150 health facilities have been established from Lakhanpur to Holy Cave by the health authorities and everything has been made available on the application with all coordinates and distance of the person accessing the application/portal.
The Principal Secretary further said that the Ministry of Health has also deployed about 1,500 highly trained health personnel for the duties of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2022 as infrastructure has increased threefold during the Yatra of This year. He added that this was done to ensure seamless and smooth delivery of health care to pilgrims by the UT administration.
The Principal Secretary also noted that the mobile app will eventually cover all 3500 J&K UT healthcare facilities and asked officers to map all of J&K’s healthcare infrastructure through this app to that the general masses can benefit through this mobile application.
Dwivedi also appreciated the department for pushing this initiative forward and implementing and launching the portal/app in a short time.
Relevantly, as part of the newly launched mobile app, the mobile ambulance network comprising the 102 and 108 ambulance system of more than 200 ambulances has also been mapped through the app and will also be available in real time. for pilgrims.
By pressing a button on the app, the nearest ambulance driver will be activated and reach that location which will also merge with “Google maps” to provide directions and the expected time to reach that healthcare facility. Dos and don’ts for pilgrims have also been incorporated into the Pilgrim Safety App.
