VA Southeast Network Announces New Director of Dublin VA Medical Center |


DUBLIN — The Department of Veterans Affairs recently announced the appointment of Manuel M. Davila as executive director of the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center medical center here. He will be responsible for a health care system serving nearly 40,000 veterans at a 343-bed medical center, including a home and community living center and six community outpatient clinics.

“We are delighted to welcome Mr. Davila as the new Director of Dublin VA Medical Center,” said David M. Walker, Director of the VA Southeast Network. “His strong leadership qualities and years of experience in the health care field will be invaluable assets to the facility, staff and volunteers, and most importantly, to the veterans we are honored to serve.”

Prior to his appointment, Davila was Associate Director of the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System in New Orleans. Prior to that, he was Associate Director of the West Texas VA Health Care System in Big Spring, Texas.

During his career, he has held a variety of positions within the VA, including Chief of Facilities Management, Chief of Biomedical Engineering, Chief of Logistics as well as other leadership positions.
