Northwell Health has established a Ukraine Relief Fund to help deal with the devastation caused by Russia’s continued invasion of Ukraine.
The healthcare giant is accepting donations through its Center for Global Health (CGH), which was established in 2019 and has since provided aid in medical emergencies around the world.
Donors have several ways to contribute to the relief fund:
• Click here and donate online.
• Dial 516.321.6320.
• Click here to download a donation form and send it with a donation to Northwell Health Foundation, 2000 Marcus Ave., New Hyde Park, NY 11042.
Donations will go directly to Northwell’s international relief partner, Doctors Without Borders, and possibly other relief groups, officials said. Based in Geneva, Switzerland, Médecins Sans Frontières administers aid to people affected by wars, famine, pandemics, disasters and other calamities.
Doctors Without Borders is already positioned near Ukraine to provide medical kits to asylum-seeking refugees.
Northwell established its Center for Global Health to position the organization as a global leader in healthcare and education. The initiative has provided medical support to communities around the world, in countries including Guyana, Ecuador, India, Kenya, Nigeria and Uganda.
