FBM Foundation -the foundation of the global video game brand FBM- has made a new donation to Association Estou Contigo! and contributed directly to the construction of a new field hospital in Ukraine amid the ongoing Russian invasion war. The contribution of approximately 11,000 euro ($11,473), delivered to Associação Estou Contigo!, helped the PCI – Paramedics of Catastrofe Internacional assignment “Humanitarian medical emergency – Ukraine.”
After initial conversations with the Porto-based nonprofit Associação Estou Contigo! The FBM Foundation saw the possibility of having a positive impact and helping people by purchasing medical equipment essential to strengthen medical assistance in the European country.
This donation will contribute to the mission”Humanitarian Medical Emergency – Ukraine“this non-governmental organization PCI operates in the Ukrainian region. This mission aims to create medical emergency systems capable of responding to local needs by ensuring essential health care, stabilizing the injured and strengthening the human resources available to provide medical care in a conflict context. The partnership established between Associação Estou Contigo! and PCI focus specifically on the acquisition of medical equipment and materials.
For Vitor Francisco, director at FBM, this is a great synergy that fulfills the objective of the FBM Foundation. “We created the FBM Foundation to have a positive influence on societies and contribute to a more favorable environment on a global scale. This chance to help build a new field hospital fits perfectly with what we intend to do as a foundation: to help human beings in emergency situations by providing them with essential care. We are delighted to make this project a reality with the Associação Estou Contigo! and PCI, allowing the people of Ukraine to have new medical treatment alternatives.”
Mariana Couto, president of the Associação Estou Contigo!, said: “This synergy with the FBM Foundation has made an important contribution to making this humanitarian medical emergency mission possible. This sum enabled us to acquire expensive equipment, reduce financial efforts to start the field mission. The donation is also important for us, as an NGO, because it gives us more reliability to unlock future actions that will help fund this humanitarian mission in Ukraine. »
The The FBM Foundation was born thanks to specific humanitarian actions coordinated by the FBM brand to help Filipino communities affected by natural disasters.
