Baylor Scott & White Medical Center-Centennial in Frisco received a national honor for cardiac care.
The facility has obtained the advanced designation of primary heart attack from the Joint Commission and the American Heart Association, according to a press release. The designation serves as a mark of excellence for “exceptional heart care for communities,” said BSW-Centennial.
“Our team’s commitment to quality results, EMS collaboration and cardiovascular program development has enabled the hospital to deliver advanced cardiac care services,” said Ryan Gebhart, SVP, president of BSW- Centennial, in the press release.
BSW-Centennial said it offers extensive cardiovascular services in coordination with Baylor Scott & White The Heart Hospital-Plano.
The Joint Commission accredits and certifies more than 22,000 healthcare organizations and programs in the United States, the statement said. The commission assesses healthcare organizations on safe and effective healthcare practices, according to BSW-Centennial.
